About Shelf

You shouldn't have to be a black belt in software to share your mastery.

My father is a martial artist. Arnis — Filipino stick and knife work — taught over decades until the movements were part of him. When he finally tried to put his art online, the internet handed him a second discipline to master first: video compression, hosting plans, embed codes, payment processors. He ended up emailing Google Drive links to students and hoping his life's work wouldn't be passed around for free.

He had earned his mastery. The software demanded he earn another one before he was allowed to sell it. That's the injustice Shelf exists to remove.

You make the art. We run the library.

What Shelf is

A course platform, tended by hand

Shelf hosts and sells online courses — video lessons and downloads, gated so only paying students can reach them. But the product isn't the dashboard. The product is the librarian: a real person who takes your raw videos, uploads and organizes them, builds your sales page, and keeps your shelf dusted. You never wrestle an upload queue at midnight. That is our work, not yours.

Most platforms are software with support tickets. Shelf is a service wearing software — the humans are the point, not a phase we grow out of.

What we believe

Three vows, kept in writing

Honest math

We quote the number you actually keep — after our cut and the payment processor. The pricing page shows the whole equation and lets you run it yourself.

Never punished for success

No monthly rent. No bandwidth meters. If ten thousand students watch your course this month, your bill doesn't grow — our small cut of your sales covers the delivery. Your success funds itself.

Own your shelf

Your content, your student list, your storefront — yours. Take everything and leave whenever you like. We keep your books on our shelves by deserving to, month after month.

And the watch we keep

Protection, honestly framed

Your videos are never public files. Every lesson is served through signed links that expire in hours and only reach paying students. And we patrol for leaked links on your behalf — vigilance, not an empty guarantee.
